Audio/Video Clips Out of Sync

When your presenter wants to incorporate Audio/Video clips in a Zoom Meeting, there are known issues when screen sharing. Here are the questions to which you must have answers as soon as possible once you find out there will be a presentation:

Here are the Best Practices for sharing video clips in Zoom s of 02/14/2022:

When in zoom attempting to show any kind of video, get the videos downloaded to the computer and always use QuickTime or similar to play. Otherwise the audio is out of sync with the video. 02-12-2022, Zoom Support Tech proposed the below instructions to clear both the presenter’s device as well as the OVA Rack (Any OVA Rack work to be executed only by Colin Hannigan). At the time of this posting, these steps had not yet been attempted. If they work to improve sync, they will remain. If not, it will be noted for future reference.

1. Open Zoom client and Quit from the Zoom menu

2. Open Terminal

3. Type:

cd “Library/Application Support/zoom.us”

4. Type: rm -rf data and hit enter:

5. Reinstall Zoom client: zoom.us/downloads

This should clear out any dirty data on the current profile.

The next troubleshooting step I have is:

1. Open Terminal

2. copy and paste the following command:

sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder; sleep 2

3. Restart Mac 4.

Try again
